We have released an automatic software update for all Jitterbug Flip phones that have not been replaced already. This software update corrects the problem that causes some Jitterbug Flip phones to fail.

When you are not using your Jitterbug Flip, to receive the update, please have your phone powered on, closed, and whenever possible charging on the charger. This update will not change any other functionality. Your pictures, text messages, and voicemail messages will not be impacted. There is no further action required.

For any customers that may have been affected by this issue, a credit equal of one month of service charges will automatically be added to your account. There is nothing you need to do at this time.

If your phone is not working, in the event of an emergency, contact 911 directly via another phone device. Jitterbug Flip2 phones, Jitterbug smartphones and Lively branded devices are not affected.
