Urgent Response is uniquely designed with a customizable Personal Profile that contains pertinent confidential information used by Urgent Response Agents to dispatch appropriate assistance when needed. We work with you to develop a personal profile so that our Agents better understand who you are and any unique needs or concerns you may have in order to provide you with personalized and caring experience
In case of emergency - or even when you're unsure if you need 911 - our Agents are trained in Emergency Dispatch and can act as your advocate to engage 911 and ensure you get the best care as quickly as possible. We use your personlized profile to proactively inform responders about any conditions, medications or allergies - even if you have a pet they should be aware of - as well as ensure they know how to access your home and reach you (providing helpful information like your home entry code, where you store your spare key, what room to locate you in, etc.). We'll stay on the line with you until they arrive and can even call a friend or family member on your behalf.

To reach Lively Urgent Response using your Alexa device, simply say 'Alexa, call for help'. In addtion to "Alexa, call for help" other easy-to-use ways to get home from Alexa include, "Alexa, Call Helpline" or "Alexa, Call Emergency Helpline".
The Urgent Response Personal Profile is an important tool that enables Urgent Response Agents to provide you the best possible service. The type of information stored in a profile includes:
- Basic information like name, phone numbers, gender, age, and primary language
- Locations frequently visited such as home, work, gym, coffee shop, doctors’ offices or vacation home
- Emergency contacts (name, phone number)
- Medical information such as medications, allergies, doctors, hospitals and medical or physical conditions
- Vehicles driven including make, model, color and license plate
You can provide as much or as little data as you choose to share. However, we encouraged you to provide as much information as possible in your Personal Profile. This information should be periodically reviewed to make sure it remains current and accurate.
In order to use Lively Urgent Response service you need:
- a supported Alexa device
- an active Lively Health and Safety plan
- an active Amazon Account
- the Alexa app downloaded on your smartphone
- the Lively Urgent Response Skill enabled in your Amazon Account and linked to your Lively Account.
- be in audible range of the connected device

Skills are voice-driven capabilities, like apps that help you do more with Alexa. You can use them to play games, listen to podcasts, relax, meditate, order food, and more. There are tens of thousands of skills available in the Skills Store, many from popular providers you already know and love. Some are free while others require a purchase or subscription. Make sure that your Alexa is NOT connected to Ring or OnStar
- To disconnect Alexa from these services, disable the applicable Skill within the Alexa app
- Note: Lively Urgent Response cannot be used in conjunction with Ring or OnStar as they are other forms of an Emergency Helpline
- In the Alexa app, repeat the Linking Process
- If the above steps solve the issue and you are able to link your account, perform a test call by saying “Alexa, call for help”
If you are still unable to solve the linking issue after trying the above steps, please call customer service at 1-800-733-6632 between 5am - 10pm PST daily for help.
There are two ways you'll know your Lively account was linked successfully: First, after using your smartphone to link your Lively account, you will see a "linking" confirmation on the screen. Second, you can make a test call to Urgent Response on the Alexa device by saying "Alexa, call for help". Make sure to tell the Urgent Response Agent that you are making a test call.
No, you can only have one Lively account linked to each Alexa account in order to utilize the Lively on Alexa service.
Alexa Communication does not support 911 calls, so you cannot say “Alexa, call 911” to be connected to emergency services or to Lively Urgent Response. To call Lively Urgent response, simply say “Alexa, call for help” and one of our Agents trained in Emergency Dispatch will act as your advocate to engage 911 and ensure you get the best care as quickly as possible if needed.
There are several external factors that can affect Alexa’s ability to connect with Lively Urgent Care and we cannot guarantee your Alexa device will always connect you to Lively Urgent Response when prompted. If you are unable to access Lively Urgent Care by using your Alexa device, you can also access the Lively Response Team from your Android or iOS smartphone via the free Lively app. Simply download the free Lively app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and follow the simple steps to set it up. You can then use the app to reach our Lively Response Team from your smartphone anytime or anywhere.
The Lively Urgent Response Agent will call you back on all Alexa devices associated with your Amazon account.
When you link your Lively and Alexa accounts, you will be asked to confirm or update the address that we have on file for your home location and where your Alexa device is located. You can update this address during the account linking process, or at any time by accessing your Personal Profile at lively.com/myaccount. Anytime that you move or you change the location of your Alexa device you should update this information.
If you change locations, please update your Personal Emergency Profile (PEP) within your Lively Account to the address that you and your device will be located. To log into your Lively account, click here.
You can cancel your Urgent Response service at any time. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees for the Urgent Response Service. All you have to do is call our Urgent Response Account Support Team at 1-800-463-5412 or email us here.
You may cancel your Lively Health & Safety service at any time. All you have to do is call Lively Customer Service Department at 1-800-733-6632 between 5am - 10pm PST and tell us you want to cancel your service. We will cancel your service immediately and you will not be charged for any future months. If you cancel your service during a billing cycle, the cancellation will be effective immediate. However, because Lively does not bill for partial months of service, your monthly billing charges will not be prorated. Lively will not refund a partial monthly service charge, you will be responsible for the entire billing cycle.
If you want to return your Alexa device, please refer to the return policy of the retailer in which your purchased your device. Note: if you return your Alexa device, your Health & Safety Service WILL NOT be automatically cancelled. To cancel, call Lively Customer Service Department at 1-800-733-6632 between 5am - 10pm PST .
